Dr. Brown is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist with 7 years of experience evaluating and counseling children, adolescents, and adults with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, mood and anxiety disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, autism spectrum disorders, and learning disabilities. She particularly enjoys working with school-aged children and their families to improve their emotional, behavioral, and/or academic functioning. Dr. Brown is sensitive to parenting issues and helping parents find a greater understanding of their children, reduce stress levels, manage conflict, and foster healthier family functioning. She strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can overcome obstacles to improve their quality of life through individual or family therapy.
Dr. Brown received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida with honors in psychology and a minor in education. She also earned her Ph.D. from the University of Florida’s School Psychology Program. Dr. Brown has served as a School Psychologist in the Atlanta metro area for the past 7 years, thus she provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and consultation that yield recommendations for interventions and strategies that promote educational success. She strives to educate and empower parents to advocate for their children’s needs throughout the Response to Intervention (RTI)/Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process, 504 services, special education, and post-secondary education. Dr. Brown also provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for adult clients to foster self-awareness, enhance vocational performance, and promote wellness.
